It was great to finally meet one of our Still Loved sponsors and supporters, Marcus Markou, Director of Papadopoulos and Sons and hear all about his methos of making his film and distributing himself. A great inspiration indeed.
We've just returned from a fantastic few days at Edinburgh International Film Festival, promoting Still Loved and meeting with industry professinals that can help us get the film out there. What a fantastic festival it is, and such a beautiful city. We watched some excellent films and attended some great workshops and industry sessions, as well as having time to take in some of the beautiful scenery. Beatrice Neumann ran a fantastic 2 day event, Distribution Rewired, which was incredibly insightful looking at different ways of distributing and releasing films and reaching a wider audience. The round table sessions were incredibly helpful and we met some fantastic people and organisations here including Ourscreen. It was great to finally meet one of our Still Loved sponsors and supporters, Marcus Markou, Director of Papadopoulos and Sons and hear all about his methos of making his film and distributing himself. A great inspiration indeed. It was great to meet Joseph Bull and the team behind Blood Cells, Produced by our good friend Samm Haillay of Third Films, to catch up with Sarah Tierney of We Are Colony, Rebecca Day of the Scottish Documentary Institute and many others. Thanks to Edinburgh International Film Festival for putting on a fantatsic event and we'll see you again next year!
