On Sunday morning, we were honoured to be invited along as Beth and Steve went to visit the trees they planted for Harriet and Felicity. These are situated at Lavender Ridge in Boltby, North Yorkshire, where they had been taking a short break when Beth was pregnant. This is where they had been staying at a lovely lodge on land belonging to Steve’s uncle, when things sadly started to go wrong with the pregnancy, which resulted in Beth and Steve losing their girl’s. The trees are decorated with hearts and birds and set in a really beautiful location in the countryside. It was a lovely warm Spring day, blossom had started to appear on the trees, daffodils and snowdrops were peeping through, and some trees were starting to bud.
Beth and Steve arrived, looking very smart for a walk in the countryside, as they were going onto a Christening nearby afterwards, so donned their wellies and Barbour jackets over their suit and dress. The planted some spring flowers for the girls and it was touching to see them here, where they tragic story started in July 2012.
