We've just spent a jam packed six days at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival, one of the best documentary festivals in the world, and it's right on our door step.

The festival was fantastic again this year, highlights being a trip out to watch the beautiful film Happiness in a cave, The Devil's Arse, in Hope Valley, a totally spectacular event, and seeing Love Is All in the beautiful grounds of Chatsworth, with a fantastic sound track from Sheffield's own Richard Hawley. I was also honoured to attend the John Pilger in Converation, such an inspiring man. There were loads of other fantastic events, masterclasses and films, way too many to even mention.

As well as all of this, we were very busy having lots of meetings about Still Loved, as well as making contact by chance at parties or having drinks in the bar and we're delighted to say that we were met with so much enthusiasm for the film, with very useful relationships being formed and much interest in what we're doing.

We had promising talks and forged good relationships with Dogwoof, Century Films, BBC Storyville, Together Films, We Are Colony, Molinare, The Wellcome Trust, Directors UK, Women in Film and TV UK, Women Make Movies and Espresso TV to name but a few. We also talked with Editors, Producers and Directors and will be following many on of these up now.

A team of four of us worked hard, splitting tasks and attending meetings and sessions to cover as much ground as we could. Director Debbie Howard, Producers Colin Pons and Polly Perkins and Assistant Producer Emily Axon managed to cover much of the festival between us, as well as leaving energy for a few parties as well.

We're really proud to host this fantastic festival in Sheffield, and it's great to be able to attend such a good event and still go home and sleep in your own bed at the end of a busy day.

Big thanks to everyone at the Doc Fest for such an amazing event, and to all the volunteers that work so hard to help this festival happen.

Lets hope the meetings become fruitful and great things happen now to help Still Loved get completed and on your screens as soon as possible.

In the meantime I'll be glued to the Doc Fest video tech watching all the films I didn't get time to see there!
